Why SABER exists

Bring people closer to the Word of God

SABER exists to bring people closer to the Scriptures and to encourage a deeper knowledge of the Word of God. We do not seek to offer ready-made answers or interpretations, but to encourage reading, reflection, meditation, and discernment. The Word must remain at the center: SABER is an instrument that leads to it, never one that takes its place.

Make Bible search coherent with how people remember and reason

We believe that studying the Scriptures should be able to begin from what a person remembers and follow the natural process by which memory, association, reasoning, and discovery relate to one another. SABER seeks to reduce the barriers between a memory and the biblical text, so that investigation can unfold naturally and coherently.

Cultivate the joy of discovery in the Scriptures

We believe that searching the Bible can be an experience of curiosity, discovery, deepening, and meditation. SABER seeks to encourage that enthusiasm: not only to help someone find what they were looking for, but to favor an investigation that can lead to the discovery of new relationships, broaden perspectives, and lead to a deeper encounter with the Word.

Serve others

We believe that serving others is an essential part of the Christian life. SABER seeks to cultivate this spirit of service and volunteerism, encouraging each person to freely place their gifts, time, resources, and possibilities at the service of those in need.

Keep access free and open

We believe that the Word of God should be within reach of all people, freely and without exception. SABER is free and will always be free. There will never be content or features restricted to subscriptions, contributions, or any other form of payment for access. Its sustainability must serve that mission, never create barriers between people and the Scriptures.
